Title: Uk Bounce/Scouse House/Donk Old or New? and favourite producers/Tracks
Post by: tef 85 on Jun 06, 2025, 04:15 PM
Evening People Hope you all have had a good week

Just wanted to ask all the bounce/donk heads here do you prefer new or old school Donk/Scouse?
I prefer the older stuff to be honest, from 2000 up to 2013 roughly(i did get into D&B around that time so kind of went off donk for quite a few years until 2 year ago started getting back into it)

i'm loving the scene at moment. lots of great producers Headzup/Drake Liddell/N!xy/Durkdawg/Nokturnal/Dj Shivv etc. Some absolute belters being brought out and respect to these guys/girls for keeping the scene alive

But... the old school

any old school tune i listen to now gives me goosebumps ( sat here listening DJ Tanzen - Check This Out while writing this lol that riff is sick }

My Fav Producers/tracks in no order this is old and new

Dj Fitzy vs Rossy B - Rain Song
Alex K - Gotta Be Love
Klubbheads - Kicking Hard
Dj Tanzen - Check This Out
Hyper Stompin - I Want Bass
Rez Q - Someday
Woody - Da beat
Hi Lite - You Don't Stop (i Could go on lmao)

Drake Liddel - If I Could Change your Mind
N!xy - Love You No More
Regener8 - Finn - 005 - Tribute

sorry forgot two classics from back in day

Quango & Zunie Ft Nikki Belle - Music Is My My Life ( Pier Classic)

Rez Q - On The Floor (It's Not Over)

Anyways hope you all have Great Weekend

I prefer the older bounce songs. Personally I don't think Scouse bounce changes much over the decades. Plugins and such change but they still produce the same sort of sounds... Back in the day Nexus was the VST to have and now Syrum has replaced Nexus but producers still make the same sounds. The only thing that changes are the acapellas.

Definitely prefer older stuff. Early 00s upto 2010ish.

Don't mind some donk but I much prefer vocal scouse with a nice bass.

Always idolised Mike Di Scala. Absolute master of everything! Remember being in 3beat (when everyone bought vinyl) when he was in and almost fainting like god had just walked in  :))

Followed closely by Hypasonic (Wayne Donnelly) RIP

I honestly have no idea at all about the names you mentioned of the new breed.

Paul Roberts aka Quadrasonic/Stompin System/Hithouse/Effect & Velocity etc etc. Love his style of bouncy donk and such a good innovative producer. Great originality and skills.
