I was just wondering what your "go-to" DAW is. Have you tired other DAWS and why did you go back or did you switch?

I have produced a few songs about 14 or so years ago and I was only a novice and not that good. I've actually bought myself a new gaming rig.. not to play games but to start producing again... I have  Ableton 12 and I've just found it hard after all these years. Getting use to it slowly after watching tutorials on the YouTube. I have even bought a midi keyboard
That will be delivered tomorrow so I'm committed to get my arse learning it again.

Just wondering how you guys found learning a new DAW

I was on Cubase for years but it was cracked so it was an OLD version.  eventually forked out for Fruity loops which I had always assumed was a bit of a toy but it seems to suit my needs

Yeah I also have that.. but I just find the UI messy and cluttered. I like the way Ableton is layed out.

But everyone has their own choice and opinion

got back into it about 4 year ago   but started using ableton as couldnt remember how FL works. i started with ableton trials, then upgraded aleton 11 intro and just recently upgraded to ableton 12 live(standard) I find Ableton way easier to use

I use ableton, But I know a lot of other producers that use FL Studio but ultimately it's just down to preference

Been using FL studio the past 20 years. Have tried others but I always end up coming back. Once you are familiar with the shortcuts it really speeds up the workflow

I am learning Ableton 12 currently in school and have recently downloaded it at home too and I am enjoying hearing the progress I am making each time I edit my track.

I haven't tried any other DAW's as I don't really have the opportunity; our school gets a free Ableton license for everyone taking music. I don't really find it too difficult but I am still quite a novice after all.

Welcome... I'm currently using version 12.. not used it is many years think the last time I used it, it was on version 9.... MAANNYYY years ago.. I've had a play with it and its all new to me again. I don't really have time at the moment as I work full time and I run this site. However, if you need anything then just ask.

Always been Acid Pro. Never met anyone else who actually uses it! Tried ALL the others but always keep going back to Acid. It's not perfect and has it's limitations but I find it works well for me.
